Town of Northfield


Located in Western Massachusetts and incorporated in 1723, Northfield is a rural community with easy access to Amherst, Northampton, Brattleboro, VT. and Keene, NH. It is a town of farmland, forested hills, streams, wetlands and wildlife; and it is the only town in Massachusetts situated on both sides of the Connecticut River.


Town offices will close at 1pm Wed. Nov. 25. No evening hours for the Assessors or Tax Collector. Town Hall will be closed Thu. Nov. 26


The Transfer Station will hold its normal operating hours on Wed. Nov. 25
